I had a privilege to sit down with an amazing figurative painter Andrew Ameral.

This is a recording of a live broadcast. In the interview we talk about what it is like to be a figurative artist and you get to hear Andrew’s story.

More about Andrew Ameral

Andrew Ameral bio: Born in San Francisco and graduated with honors from the California College of Arts and Crafts (CCAC).

He studied painting at the Florence Academy of Art, where he was Director of Anatomy and a principle drawing instructor. Ameral has taught for the graduate program of the San Francisco Academy of Art University, worked as an illustrator, and taught numerous workshops in the Bay Area. He has lectured on artistic anatomy for the Grand Central Academy, and the Academy of Realist Art in Boston.

Currently he runs his own school ‘Golden Gate Atelier’ in the bay area. Ameral received scholarships from the Art Renewal Center and the Stacey Foundation. He has been featured in Fine Art Connoisseur and The Artist’s Magazine, and his paintings and drawings are privately owned in Europe and the United States.
