Miriam Baranov is a portrait artist dedicated to capturing the individuality and spirit of her subjects. Classically trained and mentored by notable fine artists, including leading contemporary impressionistic painters, she blends traditional foundations with a lively, expressive approach that brings her portraits to life.

Whether working from life or photographs, Miriam is known for capturing the essence and personality of her subjects—particularly the eyes, which convey the soul of each person. She is deeply passionate about portraiture as a way to memorialize history and honor the stories of those she paints.

Her work spans family, corporate, and institutional portraits and has been exhibited nationally and internationally. Miriam has been a finalist numerous times in the ARC International Salon Competition’s portrait category, a finalist at the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) in Barcelona, named one of the “Select 50” artists in the Portrait Society of America’s International Portrait Competition, among other international competitions
